“God exists among the pots and pans.” -St. Teresa of Avila
We must remind ourselves and remind one another until it is ingrained in our hearts that our daily work, whatever it may be, is meant to be offered, holy and pleasing, to God.
There is no work that we do that cannot be done for others. Whether the work of your day is doing dishes, or running errands with babies in tow, or meeting with clients, or doing paperwork at your desk, He wants you to do it well and to do it with a willing heart that trusts in His plan for you.
I write a lot about family life and marriage on this blog, but if you aren’t married, or if you don’t have kids at home, you are still meant to offer the daily work of your life to the Lord. He can do so much with a willing heart that says, “Lord, I believe that you have placed me here, with these people, to do this work that provides for me. I will do my best at my job and in my home, for your glory, for your good purpose, and for your kingdom.”
