Gabriel still smells like chrism from his baptism, and I love it! Too bad that Michael thinks the chrism makes Gabriel smell like body odor. πŸ™

We had a beautiful baptism on Sunday. We bought Gabriel a little white outfit and little shoes with embroidered crosses on them. He looked absolutely angelic–and tan. I would describe my skin as an uncommonly fair, white porcelain color. Gabriel looks like a little Italian beach boy!

We prayed so hard that Gabriel would behave during the baptism–and guess what? Despite 5:30pm (the time of the baptism) being his most fussy time of day, he didn’t cry at all during the baptism! Talk about the hand of God being present! πŸ™‚

Check out these great pictures from the baptism below!

Michael’s parents brought a real king cake all the way from New Orleans. Look what the baby looked like when we found him!

Gabriel is BEAUTIFUL. I bet it was a wonderfully blessed day. What a great memory and you have so many more to come with that sweet angel. Enjoy every minute, it goes by fast!

Hi there!

I'm a south Louisiana girl, Catholic wife, writer, speaker, and mother of six. Since I started my blog way back in 2009, life has been a roller coaster of babies, plot twists and a plane crash or two. I've been chronicling things here as I've been learning to love and suffer and laugh and trust in the goodness of God in the ordinary and the extraordinary--with a little espresso and a lot of Divine Mercy.
