My gorgeous Gabriel Adam.

Our New To Us dining room table, finally all set up! It belonged to my great grandparents. They bought it for their 25th wedding anniversary πŸ™‚

My new curtains! I’ve been wanting new curtains for ages, and it was so exciting last weekend when Jenay and I found these pre-made ones one sale at Hancock. My old curtains were the ones the previous owners left in the house. They both didn’t match very well and they didn’t cover up the windows at night. I want to be able to cover the windows at night so it’s not so creepy at night with nothing over them. I bought curtain pulls as well, but Michael hasn’t installed them yet. I know these curtains will look beautiful draped to the side during the day.

Another view of my living room. Also note (if you’ve been to my house before) that metal part of the coffee table is now a beautiful dark brown color. That table was given to Michael when he went off to college, and the silver paint/finish on the metal was very scratched, stained and beat-up. It looks so much better now that it’s re-painted!

My new curtains in my bathroom. I’ve been wanting curtains in my bathroom ever since last JUNE. πŸ™‚ Jenay and I just picked out some pretty fabric we found on sale at Hancock and sort of draped it around the curtain rods. I personally still think it needs some Finesse, but I’ll have to wait until somebody with said Finesse comes to visit me.

Hi there!

I'm a south Louisiana girl, Catholic wife, writer, speaker, and mother of six. Since I started my blog way back in 2009, life has been a roller coaster of babies, plot twists and a plane crash or two. I've been chronicling things here as I've been learning to love and suffer and laugh and trust in the goodness of God in the ordinary and the extraordinary--with a little espresso and a lot of Divine Mercy.
