OK. Back to blogging.:) Here ‘ya go!

My darling Gianna was named after St. Gianna Beretta Molla. St. Gianna was an Italian wife, mother and physician in the 1950s. I am so inspired by how this working mother became a saint just by making an offering of day to day work and people that God put into her life. I am looking for a really good biography of her to read soon–any suggestions? So far, my own Gianna is definitely channeling the Italian side of the family with her soft dark hair and pretty olive skin. Also she gets a little snippy if her food is late.

My view from the Nursing Couch in my living room. Perhaps I will just let this picture speak for itself. Discipline has been an issue lately, especially with Little Miss Drama Queen there in pink. I think she has been acting out more since we brought Gianna home. Ah. This too shall pass.:)

My beautiful sisters and I at my little cousin/niece’s first birthday party last weekend. It was a mini family reunion for the party, with all of my siblings, my mom, two aunts, an uncle, and three cousins all in the same place! Such a special day.

My first Three Versus Me trip to Target. I had five items on my list…and I’m still recovering.
I’m also thinking hard about how the heck I’m going to get any shopping of any kind done from here on out. For the time being, my plan is to join the ranks of the Late Night Mommy Shoppers. On a more positive note…Target is so genius to have these multi-kid shopping carts. They have made a killing from my family lately. Back when I was in my third trimester, and now now with all three kids, even on our budget, the thought of going to a cheaper store for shopping that may not have a multi-kid cart with straps for all three makes me panic a little…

Cue “Google Chrome has stopped working.” Eek.

I think I’ve given her around three thousand kisses since she was born. That sounds about right.

Michael and I went out on a date on Wednesday night. With our newborn daughter in tow of course. Like a Huge Splurge for Us Dinner-Coffee-and-Movie date. It was really nice, ya’ll. And so very needed. After dinner and coffee, we went to see the new Star Trek movie, which wasn’t something I was super excited about, but it was actually pretty good. The three of us snuggled up together in the very back corner of the movie theater, where I kept Gianna hidden underneath my nursing cover within .3 inches of her food supply the entire time. I was pretty anxious about her crying during the movie and me having to do the walk of shame with a squalling infant in front of everyone there. But she did great. Slept or ate through everything.:) Benedict Cumberbatch (see creep movie poster above) is the actor who plays the Super Intelligent, Super Ridiculously Evil Guy in the movie.
Cue 3 1/2 year old calling for me to go get him up from his nap. Cue commencement of afternoon and evening cleanup and childcare activities I guess…
I think I’m going to stick the kids in the backyard and spray them with the hose for fun. Little kids love that stuff.:)

I have a biography of St. Gianna that you may definitely have, it was given to me by some of my "brothers" from school this past fall. I'll give it to you next time I babysit.
Blessings,

"Three Versus Me" – I love it! and yes, I am a late-night food shopper right now until I get the guts to take them all out. Though I love Kate's approach.
For the record, I was totally against those toddler leash things…until I woke up to toddlers in my house. I don't have one (YET!) but I'm sure it's a purchase to be made soon. I can dodge the 3 v. Me trip for only so long!

Make shopping with three the only thing/outing that has to be done that day… it allows you do devote more energy. You could try letter Gabe walk… possibly Faith if you want to attach her to you with one of those backpack things. G can go in a backpack on you.It gets easier each time. I was a pro at it… the week before I had Micah (#4). Now I will start all over figuring this out.

My husband and I also went to see the new Star Trek. I was super creeped out by Cumberbatch! I also can't believe that's his real name. π

Go ahead for already going grocery shopping with all three!! We all go grocery shopping (like you for only few items)only at stores with the race car shopping carts b/c the big kids fit where they can "drive" and the carrier fits (and I notice you have a chicco like me) in the top part of buggy so I have the bottom part of the buggy for groceries. The kids love to pretend to drive and most of the time now I make an excuse to go just b/c we need an outlet from home! I only take all three to either Albertsons or Win Dixie where these carts are. But didn't know that Target had these carts, good to know (:
