We went to the Booz-Allen Holiday Party on Saturday night, and we had a great time! Yes, we left sick little Gabriel with a good friend. and yes, I feel guilty. πŸ™‚

I got to glam it up for the first time in a long time, and it felt pretty nice! Only one dress I own fits me right now, though. My new womanly curves definitely fill it out the little number differently these days!

We feasted on Brazilian fare for the evening, which meant a lot of rich, juicy meat–yum! I also had my first drink in about 10 months: a delicious rum punch. Even though I only drank one and a half glasses, it turned out that I happened to have one and a half glasses too many! Yikes! I guess I don’t have a high tolerance for low-alcohol-content-girly-drinks. πŸ™‚

I found your blog through your husband's. I have enjoyed reading some of your posts!

I have a friend who has done a lot with protests of that horrible abortion clinic. I feel so sorry for those people that are building this monstrosity and further distroying precious lives, it shatters my heart.

I look forward to meeting you and your precious little guy on Friday!

I've been chronicling things here as I've been learning to love and suffer and laugh and trust in the goodness of God in the ordinary and the extraordinary--with a little espresso and a lot of Divine Mercy.
