My mom and sister-in-law were in town this weekend, and Michael and I took them and the kids for a walk on Friday morning after breakfast. Lots of houses in my neighborhood are decorated for Halloween this year, which I knew would make the walk more interesting than usual. Little did I know.
Gabriel’s chirpy little voice suddenly pipes up from the front of the stroller, his hand pointing at something a few houses down…
“Jesus!”
Wrong, wrong, wrong. And sad. On so many levels.:(
Trying to make sure I laugh at this little incident for what it’s worth. Praying that I’m able to teach my precious boy to one day recognize the real Jesus so he doesn’t make the same mistake again. 🙂

I have just discovered your blog and this made me laugh aloud. My precious almost 3 year old daughter would make the same sort of mistake! You have a lovely, inspiring blog by the way!

Don't be sad! Your child is pure innocence. He is too young to know. Think about what Jesus's reaction would be – I'll put my money on a smile, rather than a grimace. 🙂

I'm just glad the my children see that 3 hanging, bloodied, cloak-covered ones and simply say, "look, Mommy, skeletons!"
