I have some BIG news coming up pretty soon on the blog. Sorry–I can’t tell you much right now, because (a) there is so much of it, (b) each thing really deserves it’s own post, and (c) I’m coming up with some fun ways to celebrate with you!
Stay tuned and make sure you subscribe to the blog (just enter your email in the “Subscribe” box on the sidebar) so that you don’t have to find out everything last. You know, like on Facebook or something. 🙂
God is good. He writes straight on crooked lines. And I will have plenty more to say about that over the next few months.
On to my Big Girl and some big bugs.
Gianna Therese turned two years old on Cinco de Mayo. I cooked up a Mexican fiesta for dinner: yummy chicken fajitas and delicious Cowboy Caviar. Precious Gianna. I have enjoyed this child so much. Gianna of the Good Hair, Feisty Temper, and Most Adorable Pucker Up Kisses. I wish my hair did half of what hers does without any product or heat styling. Gorgeous.
I found Gianna’s grand intro post for today. Can you tell I was kind of scatterbrained and rushed writing it? Hmm. Maybe because Michael had tried to cut his arm off with a chainsaw just a week and a half before she was born.
My kids all love playing with live crawfish. And eating boiled ones. We’re raising these babies right down here in the Deep South, ya’ll. The Humble Handyman loves to boil crawfish. He is kind of the unofficial Boil Man of our family and friends. He has a fancy system with special ingredients and techniques. He even does algebra to make sure every boil is perfectly seasoned.
I am not a big crawfish eater, but I have learned to like them a lot more. The reason? Michael plans the entire boil, sets up, boils, and then cleans up afterwards. I have to do nothing. Crawfish season here in Louisiana is a little bit of Heaven for both me and my husband.

So fun! Crawfish is delicious but neither my husband nor I grew up eating it regularly much less cooking it. Excited for you and your projects! Excited to read about them!

It took a crawfish fanatic husband to make me eat them more than maybe once a year, even being from south Louisiana. Thanks, Amanda! Please say a prayer for me 🙂
God bless!

So I've officially received no fewer than FIVE excited phone calls and texts from my awesome friends and family after posting this. I promise that more is coming soon-ish. I don't want to jump the gun on some of it, and also I'm still in the middle of working hard on some of it. Keep reading and keep praying for us.:) Love and hugs!

I nominate the photo with the crawfish for "Louisiana Child of the Year!" If there is such thing, she'd win hands-down. 🙂

Hahaha! Love it. It's crazy that this two-year-old little girl just reaches in and grabs the first one she sees. She knows how to avoid the claws and everything. Her momma isn't so brave. 🙂
