Giveaways are the icing on the cake this month.:)

To enter the giveaway(s) of your choice, go to the home page of the podcast (TheRightHeartPodcast.com) and you’ll see the Rafflecopter entry box. Click on the arrows to scroll through all of the giveaways and choose ones that you’re interested in. Please note that you will be prompted to “Log in” either with Facebook or your email address so that I can contact you if you win.

This post is here to give more in depth descriptions of each of the giveaways. You will want to check out the Etsy shop giveaways for sure because the shop owners all provided generous discounts and coupon codes just for listeners of The Right Heart.

So what are the giveaways, anyway?

Well first off, The Right Heart is a podcast about growing spiritually in the everyday life of faith, so I wanted to include some of  my favorite spiritual books:

The Sinner’s Guide to Natural Family Planning, by Simcha Fisher

Once you listen to Episode 3 with Danielle van Haute, you’ll know why I included this fantastic book as a giveaway. Every married Catholic woman needs a copy of this–particularly those women who are courageously living out person-honoring, life-honoring Church teaching on sex in marriage. Simcha Fisher doesn’t put a lot of sugar on top in her writing, but reading her this-is-real-life-and-you’re-not-alone encouragement, wisdom and practical advice is a balm to the soul.

Trustful Surrender to Divine Providence, by St. Claude de la Colombiere and Fr. Jean-Baptiste Saint-Jure

This little book is one of my very favorite books on faith. My mom gave me a copy of this book a few years ago, and I found it at a point in my life when I was struggling with trusting “God’s plan” for me. This book is short, easy-to-read, and is packed with helpful explanations, analogies, Scripture references and examples, and real-life examples. This book may have been written a long time ago, but the “why?” questions we all ask during times of struggle haven’t changed. For that matter, neither has God. One thing that I learned from this book: God  never changes; we do. Sometimes when we are going through something hard, we have to sit in silence with Him until we are ready to let that sink in again.

Style, Sex & Substance: 10 Catholic Women Consider What Really Matters, by Hallie Lord

I enjoyed this book because it’s honest, spiritually solid, and down to earth. Each of the chapters read like the kind of conversations I want to have on the podcast. The chapter topics range from sex to modesty to the single life. These girls are relatable, spot-on, and sometimes hilarious (Jenn Fulwiler’s chapter was a favorite of mine).

These next four giveaways are from lovely shops on Etsy. They are fun and pretty things I’d love to have myself!

Immaculate Heart Print

I am giving away this beautiful 8×10 print of an original painting by Flor Larios. I saw Flor’s Immaculate Heart painting a few months ago in her Etsy shop, and I knew then that I had to ask her about using it for a giveaway in The Right Heart’s launch. Flor’s whimsical, feminine style would look completely adorable in a children’s room (or really wherever you want it!). Michael and I are still  looking for a house, but when we do find “the one” I plan to treat myself to a few of her prints to put a special touch in my children’s new rooms (Merry Christmas to me?).

Flor has also kindly offered a 25% discount to The Right Heart’s listeners; just use coupon code GIVEAWAY25 at checkout if you find something you absolutely love in her shop. 🙂

Hand-made Crocheted Newborn Layette

I was thrilled when Etsy shop owner and longtime Humble Handmaid reader Kathryn agreed to donate not one but two adorable, handmade crochet infant layette sets. Kathryn’s Etsy shop is StClementsIsland, and she made these two sets in soft red and aqua especially for the launch to celebrate my new blog and podcast logos. What a sweetheart!:) The layettes are newborn-sized, and are 100% “babysoft” acrylic, with gorgeous attention to detail. I am giving each set away individually.

Kathryn has also generously set up a coupon code for 10% off any order made between now and Labor Day. Use coupon code HUMBLEHANDMAID at checkout to get the discount. If you have a new baby girl or baby boy in your life, this is the one giveaway to enter. I mean, how precious are these?!

“She is Clothed with Strength and Dignity” 8×10 Canvas

I was very excited that Nicole of GloriouslyRestored agreed to be part of the giveaways this month as well! I have purchased a couple of her beautiful canvases as gifts, to glowing reviews from the gift recipients. I’ve been secretly pining for a couple of her pieces for myself. I’m a lover of Scriptural word art in my home.:)

Nicole is donating this gorgeous 8×10 hand-painted canvas echoing Proverbs 31:25: “She is clothed with strength and dignity/she can laugh at the days to come.“ She is also offering 10% off any order for The Right Heart listeners, with coupon code GIVEAWAY10. Now that’s a sweet deal.:)

Hi there!

I'm Erin, a Catholic wife, speaker, writer, and mother of six. Since I started my blog way back in 2009, my life has been a roller coaster of babies, plot twists and a plane crash or two. I've been chronicling things here as I've been learning to love and suffer and laugh and trust in the goodness of God in the ordinary and the extraordinary--with a little espresso and a lot of Divine Mercy.
